Ciaté London’s Glitter Flip transforming glitter lipstick has been making its rounds on the internet.

It’s easy to see why – it’s magical! Upon application, the finish is what the brand describes as “metallic matte”, but once you press your lips together, a glitter finish appears!

How It Works

Glitter products can be a little too tacky for application, so thankfully this product starts off as a metallic matte, easing application.

  1. Apply the lipstick.
  2. Wait 2 minutes.
  3. Press your lips together for some glitter power!

It’s that easy, and that amazing. In fact, I’ve watched videos where repeated pressing revealed more glitter.

The Colours

The liquid lipstick comes in 7 colours: pinks, reds, purples, teal, and a black that looks more cosmic than goth. The black is a favourite amongst beauty gurus because of the stunning impact of the glitter against the dark colour.

Who It’s For

Anyone who’s in for a bit of fun, really, but besides that:

  • If you love glitter but have trouble applying traditional glitter formulas, or find the manual sticking of glitter to your lips to be too messy.
  • When you’re raring to leave the office on a Friday evening and have begun touching up your makeup, yet don’t quite want to call forth your party self yet. Apply and press your lips together once you have the first foot out the door!
  • Those who want a conversation starter.

How to Get It

While Sephora Malaysia carries the Ciaté London brand, it currently doesn’t stock this lipstick line. However, you can purchase it from Sephora US and have it delivered to Malaysia. Other sites like ASOS and Amazon also carry the product, although due to its popularity, is currently sold out.
