Not a fan of Pantone’s colour of the year, Greenery? Me neither, but these Greenery cousins are a lot more fun.
Pantone’s colour of the year, Greenery was chosen for its freshness and zest, symbolising nature and growth. We get the symbolism, but not so much the colour – not on nails, anyway!
So we sought out green nail polishes that were kind of like greenery; equally fresh, zesty, and well, green…but a lot more flattering for your nails.
ORLY
Monster Mash
Holo(graphic) anything is better. Coat this confetti/glitter lime green onto a darker base like black to make it pop!
Coachella Dweller
This sweet and creamy shade reminds us of a pistachio dessert. Bonus points for being good enough for the office and Sunday brunch!
OPI
This Cost Me a Mint
Minty nail colours are always fun. This one’s bright enough not to wash out paler skin tones, and light enough to contrast darker skin tones well.
My Gecko Does Tricks
Who thought a bright yellow-based green with a pearl sheen would work? Pair this with other shades or use it as an accent nail if a loud nail is not your thing.
Essie
Vibrant Vibes
This vivid lime is neon for newbies. Friendly enough for daily wear, and neon enough to make your nails pop!
Mojito Madness
One half of Essie’s 2 most-pinned polishes. It’s easy to see why it’s a fan favourite – it’ll suit most, if not all skin tones.
China Glaze
Teal the Tide Turns
In the spirit of freshness and nature, try this beach-on-a-nail on for size.
China Glaze Treble Maker
Certain neons can be juvenile, but not this one. Wear this electric colour as a solid nail or as the tip of a modern French manicure.
