Frills and layers were a resounding theme during the BAFTA’s red carpet where Anya Taylor-Joy, Emily Blunt, Naomie Harries and Caitriona Balfe all looked stunning in their flirty numbers. But it was Anya Taylor-Joy’s Gucci gown (most left) that made us do double takes. Soft and fun, her entire ensemble made her look like an absolute doll!

If the flashing lights from the papps weren’t enough, the stars illuminated ther red carpet further in sequined and glittery numbers that had everyone’s attention. Spring is impending and celebs seem to be welcoming the season with their floral frocks.  But we have to give it to the Duchess of Cambridge who showed up in an Alexander McQueen off shoulder floral-patterned gown that made her look all the more regal. Hannah Bagshawe followed suit with another floral McQueen number as Julia Stiles, Holliday Grainger and Daisy Ridley wore gowns that were inspired by the floral trend.

It looks like velvet is out and satin is back in, as celebs rocked chic satin gowns on the red carpet. It was hard to look away when Amy Adams, Thandie Newton, Taylor Hill and Elize Du Toit made appearances in their slinky and figure-flattering pieces..

Daring Drousers

We couldn’t do a rundown of trends from the BAFTA’s without mentioning Emma Stone’s outfit. The Chanel couture “Drouser” as they call it, stole the show with its gorgeous details: from the intricate beading, to the plunging neckline, and not to mention the matching trousers! Emma Stone is not only an award-winning actress but we can already see her becoming one of Hollywood’s biggest trend-setters for the year!
