Start with damp hair the night before. Tilt your head down and comb your hair from the back towards the front. Gather your hair at the top of your head and loosely tie it into a ponytail.

Then twist your ponytail into a bun and secure it with bobby pins. This is to ensure your hair isn’t wound too tight, possibly breaking the strands in your sleep. In the morning, take out the bobby pins and hair tie and let your hair fall into place. All you’ve got to do next is spray on some volume enhancing spray and off you go!

If you want cascading curls and don’t have the time for hairstyling tools in the morning, then go to sleep with DIY curlers, i.e. strips of cloth or paper towels.

Once again, work with damp hair – this helps style the hair without using heat.

Comb down your hair and spritz curl enhancing serum into your hair. Create a side part and section your hair into 1-inch-wide pieces (you can go wider if you want bigger curls). Use the cloth or paper towel strips as rollers and roll your hair towards the root. Secure the curls by tying both ends of the strip together. Repeat until you’ve covered all your hair.

Wake up and remove the cloth strips in the morning and use a wide tooth comb (or your fingers) to brush through your hair. Use hair spray to keep your curls intact. Our hair spray of choice would be Phil Smith’s Curly Locks Curl Perfecting Spray.
