With a few quick hair and beauty fix-ups, you’ll be able to bring your A-game even after a particularly rough arms and abs day. We absolutely swear by these!
1 Cool Down
After a workout, give yourself some time to breathe and unwind before hitting the shower. Not only will you give your body time to cool down, you also give your skin rest from the sweat and redness. To cool yourself down quicker, hold a cold cloth against your wrists or run your wrists under cold water.
2 Blot It Away
Blotting paper works wonders on post workout shine. Keep a packet in your bag when you need to dab off excess facial oil. Keep in mind that this only works as a quick fix to get you looking decent enough to exit the gym. When you get the chance, wash your face and take a shower!
3 Hair Story
The best way to have your hair up during a workout is to put it in a ponytail. Ponytails keep the hair away from your face so you don’t get sweaty, matted hair! If you’re going for something a little different, try a French braid which also keeps your hair off your face. If you have short or layered hair, make sure to use bobby pins to hold down loose ends, keeping them intact during that intense spin class! If you can’t shower immediately after your workout, invest in a dry shampoo – it keeps your hair grease-free and smelling fresh.
4 Back To Basics
There is no better time to go #barefaced than during gym time because your don’t want makeup running down your face while you’re sweating it out. Keep your post workout makeup simple to allow your skin to continue breathing. Think almost not-there makeup: tinted moisturiser or pressed powder, mascara, and a lip stain. Besides, no one looks magazine cover worthy right after the gym; we’re just being realistic here!
5 Smell Factor
Keep deodorant and perfume handy so you’ll smell fresh before, during, and after a workout. You’ll be doing yourself a favour just as much as the people around you!
