Here’s what you can do with all the eggs you’ve deshelled for Easter.

Apart from being a yummy addition to your meal, eggs have been a go-to ingredient for homemade beauty remedies for ages.

Eggs are known to be rich in proteins, Vitamin A, B2, B3, and Zinc which are not only good for health when consumed, but also great for topical application!

It’s Easter season so we’re here emptying out our eggshells to make all those DIY egg décor pieces. What to do with all the remaining egg? Go have yourself an egg-credible spa day!

Egg yolk contains Vitamin A that can soothe itchy and dry skin. So instead of hitting the pharmacy for a moisturiser, try this DIY remedy.

How To: Mix an egg yolk, a teaspoon of honey, and a teaspoon of olive oil to create a paste. Apply to the face as a mask and peel off when it’s dry. Your skin will feel supple and moisturised!

2 E(gg)stra Shiny Hair

The same way eggs moisturise your skin, they can also revitalise your hair. Skip all the pricey salon treatments and try this method.

How To: Combine one whole egg, an avocado, 3 tablespoons of olive oil, and honey to create a thick mixture. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp and leave in for at least 30 minutes before rinsing it off.

3 Banish Acne

Acne can be a nightmare to deal with especially when we have sensitive skin. The best way to tackle the issue is to revert to natural ingredients from time to time, giving your skin a break from harsh chemicals while providing it with natural healing nutrients.

How To: Mix one egg white, half a tablespoon of honey, and half a tablespoon of lemon juice into a thick enough consistency to wear as a mask. Wait for it to dry before rinsing it off.

4 Youthful Eyes

Need a quick facelift that doesn’t require a plastic surgeon? This simple egg white mask is an inexpensive alternative that will give you younger looking (and feeling) skin! The egg whites help tighten and firm the face while carrots contain retinol that fights wrinkles.

How To: Combine one egg white, a tablespoon of finely shredded carrot, and one teaspoon of aloe vera gel to create a mask for your eyes (or anywhere on your face). Leave for 30 minutes before wiping away with a wet towel.
