Whoever said baby powder is just for kids? Your hair, skin, feet and other parts of your body will thank us later!

We love the nostalgic and comforting smell of baby powder – it’s really hard not to! Besides serving our memories, it’s got many uses.

We’ve come up with a list of things you can use baby powder for, and trust us, it’ll make you want to run out to get a bottle!

1 As Dry Shampoo

Alternative Dry ShampooWe’re serious! If you’re not into branded dry shampoo, this makes a good alternative. Gently dust it onto your hair and run your fingers through or comb your hair. It removes and absorbs the excess oil, making your hair look like it’s been washed. Not only does your hair look (and feel) great, it smells amazing too. If you happen to have darker hair, add in some cocoa powder to make the white of the baby powder less visible.

2 Untangles Chains

This is a common problem faced by most women. You have a collection, nay, a clump of gorgeous necklace chains that have gathered and sworn to be together forever. Fret not, baby powder will help you untangle them – just sprinkle some onto the tangled bits and its smooth texture helps the chains come apart from each other. Now your job is halfway done!

3 Thicker Lashes

Thick Eye LashesThick lashes are gorgeous and sometimes mascara alone doesn’t do the trick. Baby powder however, will. Apply a layer of mascara, then coat it with some baby powder. The loose powder sticks onto your mascara as extra coating. Then add another layer of mascara for a fuller look and for eye makeup that has better staying power.

4 Shoe Deodorant

Alternative Shoe DeoderantSprinkle a light layer of baby powder into your shoes and allow it to set overnight. Once done, shake out the excess bits to make sure that your feet don’t slip out of the shoes later on. It helps get rid of any odor and absorbs moisture. Yay to better smelling and longer lasting shoes!

5 Cooling Effect

Stay Cool With Baby PowderOn nights when your room gets too hot (not that way) and ruins your plans of a good night’s slumber, whip out the baby powder. Dust some of it on your sheets to absorb absorb the sweat and moisture. This helps the bed to cool down. It’s the same reason why powder helps you cool down when you apply it on your skin!
