If Zendaya can rock PJ’s on the red carpet, you can dress up lazy girl wear too!
They say: there are no ugly women in the world, just lazy ones. We say: challenge accepted.
Stylish and comfortable? Yes, women can have it all – we show you how to put together lazy wear looks that are anything but sloppy.
Sweatshirts and Hoodies
We love unexpected combinations, and a sweatshirt with skirt combo lends a girly touch to the ultimate lazy piece of clothing. Pair with a sparkly, sequin skirt and heels for a night out or keep it dressed down with a skater skirt, tights, and sneakers.
A hoodie with jeans is staple lazy girl wear, but you can take it up a notch by pairing with dramatic heels and jewellery. We also love comfy knits and sweatshirts under dressier jackets – play it close to your chest. Literally.
Robes, Caftans, and Kimonos
Too young for a caftan? Think again. Caftans are light and breezy, making them perfect for our eternal summers. They’re also very boho chic, which is a look that’s always on trend. Pair with leather sandals, beaded necklaces, and messy braids to complete the look.
Silky kimonos paired with short shorts and tank tops are practically a uniform at music festivals and Sunday brunches, but don’t be afraid to take your homier kimonos or robes out for a spin. Wear over any basic wear: tank dresses, tank tops and shorts, or a plain black T with jeans.
Slip Dress
The camisole dress is making a comeback – wear it over a t-shirt or under a constructed jacket for a fresh spin.
Graphic or Band T
We love how versatile the ubiquitous t-shirt can be when you put your mind to it. Pair with heels and a midi skirt for a look that’s both casual and dressy.
Bralette
Bralettes are all the rage at the moment, but we’re not talking about the ultra-cute lacy, strappy ones we’re seeing everywhere. Instead, hack the crop top look by wearing your solid sleep bralette outdoors. We swear most people won’t be able to tell the difference.
Pyjamas
We know what you’re thinking: you don’t even wear pyjamas at home! It’s certainly a bold look, but one that looks great with heels, a clutch, and lots of confidence.
If it’s not a look you could even dream of pulling off (see what we did there), opt out of the complete look and pair with separates.
Leggings and Yoga Pants
We know, we know. Leggings are not pants but they’ve been universally accepted enough to qualify as legit outside wear. Still, we’d like to show some love for floral and graphic leggings that you might have purchased in bulk online, thinking they’d never see the light of day.
If you’ve got a yoga class later in the day (or even if you don’t), yoga pants are versatile enough for a lazy day out or casual work day when paired with a comfy cardigans and stylish sneakers.
Sweatpants
Started from the top, now we’re here! Go full lazy with sweat pants, sweat shirt, and sneakers for a fun, casual look or opt for black joggers paired with a plain top and leather jacket.
Mules
Under no circumstance do we recommend wearing house slippers outdoors. Think of the germs! Instead, round up your lazy wear options with a cheat style because these lazy looks are all cheats, yes?
Instead of house slippers, opt for flat mules that give you the same slip-on, slip-off comfort without the ickiness. Hey, even us lazy girls have limits.
