Done with spring cleaning your home? Now that your wardrobe, shoes, and living space is rejuvenated, it’s time to take charge of your health.

Add a spring to your step by taking on these easy and totally doable lifestyle tweaks.

1 Schedule

Before you get started on anything, it’s always better to plan. We suggest you clear your schedule and make time for activities and by activities we don’t mean dinner and drinks. Take some time off from all the hustle and bustle, make an appointment with your doctor, find a park, go for a hike, or sign up at a gym; take small steps to a better you.

PS: You can pick up a planner from notbooknotbuk to help keep your plans in check!

2 Clear your Pantry

Get rid of your guilty pleasure stash, i.e.all that junk food. Make way for fruits and veggies. Take the time to go grocery shopping and stock up on food stuff that allow you to make meals on your own, instead of always eating out or ordering in. Making your own meals helps you keep track of your diet.

To help make things easier, why not try grocery delivery service Honestbee, that not only helps you purchase your goods but also has a wide range of health conscious products and brands for you to chose from!

3 Stay Hydrated

We can’t stress this enough, it’s important to constantly stay hydrated. Your body requires fluids to maintain its daily functions. Drinking water throughout the day helps keep your body and muscles energised. We suggest keeping a bottle of water with you at all times, and pass on carbonated and sugary drinks whenever possible.

4 Step off the Scale

Cut the stress out of your life. The weighing scale shows you how much you weigh; not how healthy you are. Stepping onto the scale daily will do nothing but demotivate you; there are better ways to determine your progress. Visit a professional and learn about your body and the improvements you need to make instead of depending on the numbers on a scale.

5 Get Active

I know we’re naturally more inclined to stay in bed or merge with the couch while watching TV, but it’s time to get active! Consider hitting the gym or the great outdoors at least once a week. If you’re looking for something to cop your interest, try alternative fitness classes or if you’re a homebody, download health apps!  Some exercise and activity can help improve your health and stress levels.

6 Reward Yourself

Don’t be too harsh on yourselves. Strict diets can be healthful but does it make you depressed? Take some “me days” to do what makes you happy: have a cheat meal or reward yourself with shopping!
